Origin of Project

“E-Action”, short form of “Educational-Action” , is inspired by the desire to provide Taiwanese Primary Students opportunities to learn and develop their English skills as well as to establish connections with overseas students. We aim to subvert Traditional Chinese Education of “Cramming”, preparing students with more diverse teaching styles and activities. We are committed to establishing an encouraging English learning environment that motivates students to learn and cultivate their interests for long-term development.

Project Intention

Volunteers will guide students from Guanghua Elementary School who are interested in English through online teaching to expand their skills and prepare them for meeting opportunities with overseas learning partners. The online courses will mainly focus on daily conversation and fundamental communication skills. By using a variety of teaching materials, we aim to gradually guide children to improve their English speaking and understanding, and eventually being able to have simple conversations with eversea learning partners.

Expected Outcome

Through the project, we hope to encourage elementary school students to strengthen their understanding of English as well as to show their imagination through diverse and cushy learning environments. We expect to help students consolidate their English skills and cultivate their global perspective and cross-cultural communication. Through online courses each week, students will be able to interact and meet with students from different countries using daily conversation communication skills.

1:1 Coaching

Each week, there will be a 30 minutes one-to-one online course where volunteers will lead an English conversation based on the student’s English level.

Special Teaching Materials

Each week’s conversation will have an assigned topic. The teaching materials will incorporate elements of Taiwanese culture, such as traditional buildings, local cuisine, festivals, and folk customs, providing the children with an engaging way to learn English while deepening their appreciation of their own cultural heritage.

Self Development

By using a variety of teaching materials, students can develop their abilities to communicate with native English speakers, improving both their language and social skills. Volunteers will also enhance their patience, passion for teaching, and discover new skills through this experience.

Special Volunteer

All volunteers have undergone basic English training, enabling them to communicate fluently and assist others in gaining a deeper understanding of the language.
